Glacier National Park

I am in Montana visiting my Mom.
I took a little me time, so I could get a short hike in Glacier National Park on Friday.

It has been very dry in Glacier this season and it was the brownest I have ever seen the park, but it is still breathtaking.  I saw a wolf on some of the high cliffs - super cool - but no pictures.

My phone says no service a lot out here! I will be excited to catch up with you when I get home. I found some wifi so I could share some beauty with you in case you stop by...

Wishing you all the best :)

    1. Thanks! Montana is a great pace to visit. I have always wanted to do Two Bear half marathon but it is always in Sept. and that is tough time to take off when you work in a school :( maybe one day!

    1. It has been unusually warm out here, I got sun burnt hiking lol and the wind has been very calm too, making for very pretty glass lakes. I wish I could get more hiking in!

    1. It's a long drive for you but totally worth it :) I bet they would love the park, lots of trails to explore. The park has about 25 Glaciers left, the ranger I talked to said they could melt away within the next ten years due to the weather changes, but there is also a good chance they will build up again...I guess it goes in cycles. He gave the measurements for a true Glacier 25 yards wide I believe and a certain denseness I cannot remember lol It is funny how different it looks from month to month in the spring and summer - it has been terribly dry though this year in the lake pictures you can see how everything is. Rain and snow needed this year.

  7. Great pictures! I'm so glad we recently visited beautiful GNP! The only bad thing about being in the mountains - when you can't get any wifi!

    1. I saw the hike you did where you had to hang on the wire.
Sprint actually even cut my data usage even on wifi while I was out there, my phone wouldn't work at all, it was very frustrating!

    1. Yes :) I did my 11 miler and ran two more times. It was delightfully crisp for two of my runs, I was in heaven.
I usually try to run every day when I am there, but my foot was still being finicky, so I had to take to easy.
