Have I Told You!?

Some random things I really wanted to mention in a post, but never did...

I love playing medicine ball catch with my hubby at the gym. Sometimes we use a 10 lb. medicine ball and sometimes when we feel super adventurous, we use 14 lbs.

When we don't feel like doing a lot of cardio, this really works.

It is a fun way to get a work out in. Grab a partner and try it :)

Junior adores my hubby.

My hubby got this plague in the mail for his AG in the 5K turned 4.2 miler :)  He has retired at the top of his game.

My muscles are feeling great after my my happy PR run but my feet are still not quite right, so I am trying to take an extended break to recover.

That most of my race pictures are atrocious! I just have to laugh looking at them. Sometimes they scare me so much, I think I shouldn't run. Nah!

I do kind of like this one though...

That I love working in a place where we have cute little guests visit the Veterinary Science class.
Yep, sitting on my desk :)

I think my co-worker Robyn is going to adopt this cutie.
If you have a name idea, comment below!
We have discussed Betty White, Penny, Lucy...

Allow me to brag about Robyn for a minute, she is now a 2 X marathoner and she ran a sub 4 in Richmond this past weekend! Robyn's Post

What would your, " Have I ever told you?"  post include?

  2. The medicine ball toss looks like an intensive upper body workout but FUN. Hmm...the cat's name...Sandy. Congrats to Robyn! Have I ever told you: I'd love to call myself an Ironman (woman) but am terrified of the swim, and the logistics, and bike ride, and the run, and well the whole thing! Do old people even do those?

    1. Medicine ball catch can get pretty intense, especially with the heavier weight lol
      I like Sandy!
The kids in class came up with Martha Washington, Robyn like people names.
I could totally see you doing an Iron woman! I enjoyed reading Marica's tri journey. I am a very weak swimmer, and transitioning...does seem daunting!

I know me & my hubs - the medicine ball would be a competition & it would end up busting my teeth out.

  9. For the record, I did not get the plague in the mail. I am plague free.

I did however get a cool plaque from our Halloween 5K!

  10. I think the cats name should be Betty white!
I am not sure that I would be able to catch the medicine ball. I have this bad habit of moving out of the way when things are thrown at me. (which is why I am a runner)
What would my "have I ever told you" post say? Hmmm...that I cannot fall asleep without the TV on...bad habits...

You know I have fallen asleep with the tv on much, but I need a fan. I can't take the quiet...
Ha! I do that too! I told Kenny I feel like an athlete actually catching something :)

The foot is feeling improved, now to give it more time for good measure or test it out...decisions, decisions.

  19. Never tried a medicine ball toss. My husband would never go to a gym so you are lucky to have a partner to do that with !

  20. Playing catch with a medicine ball sounds terrifying! I would definitely have to start with the lowest weight and work my way up!
