Five things from this week!

1. I am trying to get off diet soda yet again... I quit for a whole day! It is a work in progress, I had two soda free days so far...

I end drinking a lot more coffee...
I guess that is better for me ???

This flavor is seasonal. I purchased four containers this week because it was on clearance. I'll have pumpkin spice until April!

2. When I feel blah, I just watch Tweeky sleep. It always makes me smile...

3. I felt  a little guilty for killing Tweek's fun, but the Christmas tree is down and all things Christmas are stacked on my table waiting to go to the attic....(thank you Kenny for taking down the tree!)

4. I cleaned out my refrigerator! Wow, did it need it :)

5. I have been lazy the past few weeks about making ice tea.
I put Stevia in it and mix a little green tea powder in. I don't really like green tea alone, but mixed in with the regular bags it is good :)

Thoughts on Stevia and Truvia?? It is supposed to better for you than the pink or blue stuff, right.
Do you smile watching your pets sleep?
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Happy Trails to ya,

I leave you with one of my all time favorites...
Karen ❤

  2. I just bought some packets of Truvia to try it - I'm scared. Artifical sweetners bothers my stomach so I'm nervous about it. Most times I just use regular real sugar because i wonder if its just better to use the real stuff since I just use 2 teaspoons... I'm so confused.

Sparkling Seltzer water is what broke me on diet cokes... & watching a documentary about how Diet Coke kills brain cells. It was so disturbing!

    1. Maybe that is why memory is going! I didn't have many brain cells to begin with...ugh
I have to watch calories so close I was trying to find an alternative, maybe I should just use sugar. I hope I can better next week. I do like sparkling water, maybe I need to stock up next week :)

  4. My cat Honey looks just like Tweeky.

I cleaned out my fridge recently too.

I need to buy Truvia. I heard that it is the Healthiest (if there is one) of sweeteners.

    Hope you can run sooon!!

  7. Tweeky is so comfy/cozy/cute! I can see how you'd relax just watching. Yeah Stevia is supposed to be better. For a long time I was a black coffee with Stevia girl. Now I'm a coffee with a spot of milk girl. Yum, I eye that creamer every time I walk past it.

    1. I do get a sense of peace watching my sleeping kitties, kind of like sleeping babies lol but I am too old for that! I feel better knowing you use Stevia, I just had a thought my creamer probably isn't good for me but I like it lol

  8. I make my own green iced tea. Lately I've been in love with Matcha. My favorite is Rishi, but it's a little pricey. So I bought a cheaper Japanese version. NOT THE SAME! I'm going back to my Rishi...and no Stevia. It needs nothing.

    1. I have Matcha green tea powder. That is what I add to regular bags. I wish I could like it, but I guess I am a Luzianne gal. I will have to look at Rishi - I am trying to find something I love so the diet won't be a temptation any more :)

  11. Aww, Tweek is so cute! I need that reminder when I am stressed, to go see what Data is up to. He always cheers me up!

  12. I drank my weight in pumpkin spice creamer from the time it made it's summer appearance through year end. YUMMY. It's sadly gone. As I type, my hoard of Christmas decorations is stacked neatly in the living room corner waiting for it's transport to the attic. Baby steps. Tweeky sleeping is the cutest thing ever!

    1. Ohhhh cool, that is something I have not heard of - Zevia. I will check it out! I am trying to weed out what is holding me back!

  14. I used to drink a lot more diet soda and I tried to replace most of it with water. But so hard for me to just cut it out. I try not to have it in the house, and so when I want one, I need to go out and get one, or buy one at work. I drink all coffee and tea unsweetened, so I can not comment on stevia !

    1. That was how I was before, but lately it got so bad, I was going out a few times a day just to get a diet soda like folks do with Starbucks I guess lol I still have not one! That is major for me, I am drinking a lot more water so that can not be bad right :)
