I passed by this start/finish line on Sunday when I was trying to run. I thought, thank goodness, I am not trying to race today!
Last week will probably be my last attempt at speed work for awhile... I was trying to do three minute pick ups. See, I try to be optimistic about heat, LOL but it is what is...
Look at my speed work in red. If you look closely, my recovery minutes were faster. This makes me laugh for some reason...that is how I feel lots of days, completely mixed up ;)

I plan to spend the next few weeks trying a few different things to see what works best for me. I have always used 4 x 1 intervals, but I plan to try out 2 x 1 and 3 x 1 intervals. I just need to see how it feels.
I am hoping VA has met its rain quota for awhile and I can get some more biking done. I've had a very long break from my bike, I need to get busy...it. is. time.
Somehow I avoided leg day all last week! I mean I like it once I get going, and I always feel good two days later, when I am sore, but starting, well...obviously, that is the hardest part.
Lastly, I knew as soon as I posted about my desire to try to train for a fall marathon, my feet would flipping melt down....and they did. Murphy's law. It seems even with shorter runs, 4 days a week is too much, so I guess 3 running days will be the magic number for awhile. It is all good though, because I will be biking more, right :)
